Hi, we are Dan and Becky!

We have been coming to Hilton Head Island for vacation for the last 20 years and have always enjoyed the beautiful beaches, tennis, the restaurants and the Atlantic Ocean.
Over the last 5 years or so we have been staying at Villamare in Palmetto Dunes.  We have found the location of Villamare on the island to be perfect--close to the ocean and close to everything else.  Finally in January of 2001 we took the plunge and bought our Villa--3429 Villamare.
We hope you will enjoy this condo and location as much as we do.  We bought the unit unfurnished and have replaced virtually all of the furniture, TV's and most of the appliances as of January 2001.  The entire unit has been repainted and we hope you will find this unit far superior to many others we have visited.   Please let us know if there is any way we can help you!

5 Restaurants
on Hilton Head Island

#1 Scott's Fish Market--Try the Daily Seafood specials.  Combined with the live entertainment it's hard to beat. At Shelter Cove. Suggest reservations.
#2 Alexander's--For higher priced seafood and atmosphere this long established restaurant is a winner.  In Palmetto Dunes-suggest reservations.
#3 Captain Woody's--Where the locals hang out and a bit hard to find, but the grouper melt sandwich is a must.  Inexpensive!
#4 Salty Dog Cafe--The old standard still is great if you want an overpriced, but good burger in a scenic outdoor setting at South Beach in Sea Pines.   Make sure to at least go and have a drink a buy a T-Shirt!
#5 Mellow Mushroom--Pizza with the fresh crust.  New to the Island, but part of a chain.  Fun atmosphere and great pizza!  Get Mellow.

#For your favorite must buy items
Food, Videos, Coffee

Palmetto Dunes General Store--this place is a life saver.  Kinda' expensive, but fun for the kids and the adults.  From the frozen yogurt, to the candy by the pound, to the drinks,  and breakfast menu in the morning this place will be on your "must visit" list.  If you want a USA Today make sure you get there by 9:30 am.  Tell the main guy in there to smile once in awhile....have fun!
Publix--For grocery stores this one is the best.
Located at Palmetto Bay Road 843-842-2632
at Island Crossing Shopping Center (by the Sea Pines Circle)

Hollywood Video--In the same shopping center as Publix we think this place has the best selection of videos and DVD's.  Worth getting a card for.

Starbucks--If it's not too hot for java get your caffeine intake here.  Right next to Hollywood Video and Publix it's one stop shopping (if you have to shop!)

The Hyatt--the Hotel is right next door.  Nice outdoor bar, sometimes with Music.  A very nice gift store is located inside the hotel also!

The Lodge--for pool playing and a cigar...

Great food, great location.  A bit pricey!

Celebrity Sighting--Gene Wilder
at the Salty Dog in 1977

You won't get a better sandwich than the Grouper here--if you're scared of trying new things don't pass this up!

At Alexander's Restaurant in front of the Harley

Also, lots of chain restaurants are on the island--some which are included are Cracker Barrell, Damon's Ribs, Fuddruckers, and Outback. All the standard fast food places are here like McDonald's, Wendy's, Taco Bell and Burger King.
